BALA has exactly two seats that log in. Everyone else acts through scoped, link-based flows.
The two seats
- Business & Legal Affairs
- Runs productions, the roster, and delivery — sets up productions, issues and tracks paper, sends reminders, and owns oversight. The manual fallback behind every automation.
- Counsel
- Works the legal queue — escalations, redlines, and the playbook. Sees the counsel view of every production but doesn't manage rosters day to day.
Everyone else
- Talent, crew & location owners receive a one-time link, review their agreement, and sign in the browser. No account.
- Producers approve business terms by message — WhatsApp, text, or email. The concierge records the answer; it never speaks for the firm.
- The production company gets a read-only portal into rights and executed documents — a link, not a login.
Least access by default
New pages in the workspace are protected unless explicitly made public. A stale or invalid session can never reach production data — access is re-checked on the server, not just at the edge.
