Welcome to BALA
What BALA is, who it's for, and the one idea that makes it work.

BALA is Legal & Business Affairs, delivered as software. We run the paperwork behind a film, television, or commercial production — talent releases, crew deal memos, location agreements, and the rights that become chain-of-title — and get every agreement executed before the shoot.
Who BALA is for
BALA is built for the people who run production legal work: a Business & Legal Affairs lead who owns the productions, roster, and delivery, and the counsel who works the legal queue. Talent, crew, location owners, and producers interact with BALA constantly — but never by logging in.
The one idea
The paperwork should be done before the shoot, not chased on set. We close that gap by doing the work — drafting, sending, chasing, recording — not by handing you another checklist.
The mental model
- A production exists only after the firm is retained. There is no self-serve signup — a production in BALA means a real engagement.
- We act, humans decide. The software extracts, drafts, and flags. A person clicks send, and every business approval is recorded from the producer, never invented.
- Links, not logins. Everyone outside the firm signs or approves through one-time links and text — no accounts.
